As mentioned in a previous post, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) holds the PPP Americas Conference every two years to bring together public and private-sector professionals from Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) to discuss groundbreaking topics and exchange ideas on planning, structuring, and managing public-private partnerships (PPPs). Jaime Hurtado, a senior manager at DHInfrastructure, is helping the IDB develop the programmatic content for the 2023 conference agenda and its preparatory events—the PPP Talks. Together with the IDB team and in preparation for the third PPP Talk, Jaime wrote a concept note on how to leverage PPPs to promote inclusion outcomes in LAC. The note also introduces some of the methods used to assess the performance and impact of PPPs.
