Description
The State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) has provided grant-funded infrastructure and technical assistance to the Albanian energy sector since 1992. SECO wanted assistance in planning its activities in the sector for 2018 to 2021. They asked specifically for an elaboration of specific areas of possible intervention, project opportunities, and potential performance monitoring indicators that would contribute towards the further development of Albania's energy sector.
Service Provided
DHInfrastructure led a scoping mission to Tirana to interview Government, private sector, and donor stakeholders; identify the key challenges facing the Albanian energy sector; and understand ongoing and planned interventions by donors and government. Based on the mission's findings, DHInfrastructure identified and elaborated on potential project opportunities for Swiss cooperation in the 2018-2021 planning period.
