Assessing Urban Heating Options in the Kyrgyz Republic

DHInfrastructure recently completed a project in collaboration with the World Bank to assess urban heating options in the Kyrgyz Republic. The study reviews the condition and performance of the urban heating sector and building stock, and analyzes the heat supply and demand characteristics in the cities of Bishkek and Tokmok. It also identifies viable heating options and related investment measures for residential and public buildings in Bishkek and Tokmok that the Government can implement in the short- to medium-term. The report, Keeping Warm: Urban Heating Options in the Kyrgyz Republic, has just been published by the World Bank.
